Warehouse Operative / Site Labourer
Full Job Description
Our client based in Aylesford is seeking to appoint a Site and Warehouse Operator on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be required to split their time between working on site and in the warehouse. When working on site you will be expected to spend around six-months of the year away from home - this will be spread over the course of 12 months, when not on site you will be working at the Warehouse in Maidstone.
When working in the warehouse the duties will include:
General housekeeping of the warehouse, yard and equipment, general tidying and sweeping. Manual handling and ensuring equipment is loaded for delivery to site and upon its return to base putting away. You must be happy to undertake cleaning and refurbishment of equipment as part of day to day duties.
When working on site the duties will be:
You will be expected to be on site at least six-months of the year, this could be up to 12 hours per day or night, over 7 days.
You will also be flexible to work for extended periods of time in the UK and overseas.
Completing progress reports and fed back on a regular basis whilst completing a project
Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant and any defects are reported in a timely manner.
Ensure you comply with all Health and Safety and site activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving licence a good level of education. You must also be physically fit - as there is a lot of manual handling involved with this position. You must be computer literate and be a good communicator - both verbally and written records. A Counterbalance licence and CCNSG Passport is desirable.
