New Appointments Group Limited, hereinafter known as NAG, is committed to privacy for everyone who accesses this web site.  NAG operates in accordance with the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, which provide certain regulations and best practices regarding the information you provide for NAG’s use.

The data NAG holds

The information you provide either as an employer or as a jobseeker is supplied in strict confidence.  Details will be input onto a computer database used for internal purposes only.  Only employees of NAG who are necessary to the recruitment and selection processes and IT support contractors engaged by NAG are provided with access to your information.  NAG does not disclose personal information to any third party (unless otherwise stated in this policy) without your consent.

By use of this web site and any services provided on this site, you are consenting to the collection and processing of your information.  You are also agreeing to NAG’s Terms of Web Site Use.

NAG may store and record any telephone calls you have with NAG staff for record keeping and quality control purposes.

The information that NAG collects is used to provide work finding services, to facilitate future contact about the recruitment process and to inform the user about products and services related to the recruitment process.

Disclosures

NAG will not disclose any information it keeps about you to any third party without your permission unless we are required to do so by law.

Where you register on this site for work finding services you will be asked to give your consent to the collection and processing of personal data supplied by you, but throughout the course of providing work finding services no information will be passed to any potential employer or any third party without your consent.

Cookies

A 'Cookie' is a way of storing small amounts of personal data, which NAG will store and recall from your browser.  NAG operates in accordance with the EU’s Privacy and Communications Directive - as such, a user must give their permission to save Cookies on their behalf unless strictly for operational purposes.

When registering your details and/or signing into this web site, a Cookie will be used to track your user details and keep you logged into the system, and will be used in a purely operational function.  By changing your browser settings you can block any Cookies from being activated, however, in doing so, NAG cannot guarantee the web site will function as intended.

Security

NAG makes every effort to ensure the secure transmission of your information to and from the NAG web site.  However, electronically submitted data (including email) may be intercepted by unauthorised third parties before reaching its desired destination; as a result you agree to use this web site and online services entirely at your own risk.

NAG protects your personal information from the point of registration utilising a GlobalSign SSL Certificate with 2,048-bit key strength, encrypting the data between your browser and NAG's webserver with at least 128-bit encryption (depending on your browser).  Thereafter, the data is encrypted between NAG's web site and NAG's internal systems.  NAG also makes use of firewall technology to help protect its systems and your data.

How to apply for access to your data

You are entitled to see data that NAG holds about you save for the exceptions as set out in the Acts.  You should contact NAG to request a copy of the data NAG holds.  NAG is able to charge a reasonable administration fee.  Requests should be made in writing to the address given below.  You will be asked to supply information to confirm your identity.

Amending your data and unsubscribing

NAG needs your help to ensure that the data it holds on you is both accurate and up-to-date.  NAG requests that you update your profile at least every six months, by logging into this web site using the details you registered with.

You are free to unsubscribe from the NAG service at any time - to do this please email privacy@newappointmentsgroup.co.uk or write to the address below.  Please note that NAG may be obliged, under the Employment Agencies Act, to hold some of your data for at least 12 months after it was last used.

Changes to this Policy

If NAG decides to change this policy in any way, changes will be posted on this web site so that you are aware of the information collected and the way in which it is used.  You are deemed to accept these changes when, following amendment, you next use this site and the services provided online.
